Only certain states allow this to be part of their scope of practice. California doesn’t allow any puncturing of the skin.
  5. Certified Chiropractic Rehabilitation Doctor (CCRD): This certification focuses on rehabilitation techniques for patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries or surgeries. 8. Certified Chiropractic Pediatrics (C.C.P.): For chiropractors who would like to work with pediatric patients, this certification provides specialized training in the assessment and treatment of children and infants. These certifications are not required to achieve a level of expertise in any given subject matter, but the purpose of these organizations is to provide a quality control process in which the public can trust that the chiropractor has sufficient training in various specializations.
